The D.L. Townsend Insurance Agency officially opened for business on May 1, 2008. However, the agency has clients within the book of business that date back more than 30 years. In many instances, our clients are second generation policyholders. And, we are beginning to provide service to the needs of a third generation.

The D.L. Townsend Insurance Agency offers a full line of property/casualty insurance products, including auto insurance, home insurance, business insurance, and life insurance products. The agency is independent and represents several companies, including Erie Insurance Group and Progressive Insurance.
David and the staff of the agency ensure that we give back to the local community. The agency has been a sponsor for many local organizations and sports teams, from T-Ball to college programs. We have also sponsored or donated to both local and national charities and are proud of our support to organizations like Angels’ Place, Toys for Tots, Easter Seals and the Bridgeville Athletic Association.
The D.L. Townsend Insurance Agency has also received awards. We were honored to receive the 2016 Trib Total Media Readers’ Choice Awards – A gold award in the South and a community award in the Peters/Venetia area. Also, in 2013, Erie Insurance presented the agency with the Giving Award and donated $2,500 to Angels’ Place on their behalf.
The agency is located at: 4120 Washington Road Suite #180 McMurray, PA 15317. From this location the agency provides service to its’ client base located in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.
