Short-term Deposits

For an Axis Bank FD with tenure ranging from 7 days to 12 months, the interest rate offered is from 3.50% p.a. to 5.50% p.a. These deposits are known as short-term deposits as their tenure is less than 1 year.

Medium-term Deposits

Medium-term fixed deposits have tenures ranging from more than 1 year to less than 5 years. The interest offered by the bank on these deposits is around 6.25% p.a and 6.50% p.a

Long-term Deposits

These deposits have their tenure ranging from 5 years to 10 years and offer an interest rate of 6.50%.

1) Open FD Account Through Axis Bank Internet Banking

On successful creation, the Fixed Deposit advice will be sent over a registered email address or physical advice will be sent to the communication address. Also, depositors can download the FD advice via internet banking after one working day of booking the deposit.

2) Opening Axis Bank FD Offline

To open an Axis Bank FD account offline, one needs to visit the nearest Axis Bank branch. Fill out the Axis Bank FD application form and submit all the required documents. Axis Bank offers the Tax Saving FD at an attractive interest rate and a tenure of 5 years. The minimum and maximum amounts that one can deposit are Rs.100 and Rs.1.5 lakh, respectively. At present, Axis Bank offers the rate of interest at 5.75% p.a.

The bank even offers several tax-saving deposits and FD options like FD Plus, Regular Deposit, Encash 24 Flexi Deposit, to name a few, that are backed by an online banking facility, loan facility, seep-in facility, etc. scheme.

Premature Closure of Axis Bank Fixed Deposit

You can easily withdraw the money from FD before maturity, subject to a penalty of 1.0%. Although, if you wish to withdraw the money only partially, the bank will levy no penalty on the first partial withdrawal of up to 25% of the principal amount.
